We have been getting lots of questions as to why this decision came to be. The reason I opened the company seemed so clear when I began, but as I started to expand the concept, and my services...things were getting a little blurry.
In true Carrie Bradshaw fashion...I couldn't help by wonder: WHY is One Moment Wellness here?
In order to explore this concept further and get to the nitty gritty and more clear purpose, I consulted with a company called Self Agency, and the process was full of anxiety to say the least. Dealing with the location design and build process and doing a rebrand while still holding my job was a lot.
After a lot of back and forth on designs, typography, color palettes, and different decisions coming at me. I am happy to announce we got the final results for the branding.
It took the right people, the right questions and a lot of inner strength to really do what is best for the company: Focus on what the clients need and would want, rather than what I connected with and loved.
I wanted to elevate the brand, make it more inclusive and not so concentrated on the female market because I think wellness is needed for everyone.
And so, we let go of the cursive typography and away went the cherry blossom petals that I so personally loved. Cherry blossoms where so important for me in the beginning because they symbolized the fragility of life since this particular flower only blooms for a week.
All of this was hard for me to let go, the original logo had a very sentimental meaning to me because it was created by my lovely cousin, it had the cherry blossom petals that I loved so much and it was the beginning of this journey. It was the first impression we made to our followers, to the community.
Like a good haircut this change came with internal changes as well, and little by little I started reconnecting with myself as well as with the company, the location and what we represent.
